With Every Thought

Arrive at your destination with, no clothes. Yes, you read that right.  Here is the challenge.  Pack your suitcase with only your undergarments and necessities. Maybe even skip on the jewelry too. When you arrive at your destination, go to a thrift store or a local boutique, and purchase clothes to wear while you're on your vacation. You'll leave with items that aren't your regular souvenirs. When you're home and you're wearing those times you'll remember your trip and you might even cherish those items when they bring back fond memories.  Will you take this challenge? 

Some of the most consecutive things that are on my bucket list mainly revolve around traveling. I have already fallen in love, made an adorable little bundle of joy and many other things. So all that remains are places to go. I would love to go to Alaska because of it being commonly known as the "last frontier." Paris, for some reason I am obsessed with the Effiel tower. I have a hundred tiny little figures and photos it laying around my house. The Great Wall of China, I would love to walk this entire length. I believe this would be a memorable experience. However, I know it will be nearly impossible because of its length. Hawaii, The beautiful island, scuba diving, hiking, and eating all the fruit is what I would do there. Greece, Mama Mia, and Sisterhood of the traveling pants those movies have made an impact on my life for becoming slightly obsessed with wanting to go here. Over Memorial Day weekend my parents, my darling daughter Charlotte and I went to the eastern shore of Virginia. It was a much-needed vacation, my mother is an essential worker and the stress of what was going on in the world was maxing out our anxiety.  I drove the entire way from Pennsylvania to Virginia towing our pop up camper. We arrived in the middle of the day at my uncle's house, a town outside of Chincoteague island. After setting up our camper. We began our usual tourist vacation routine. Driving around scoping out what was open and what was new. With a list in hand and yelp reviews read, we were ready to take on this small island. With all businesses and visitors listening to social distancing guidelines, lines were long and businesses were overwhelmed and packed.  The weather was either warm accompanied by mosquitoes or windy and cold. Chincoteague Island, Virginia. I've been visiting this small island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia since I was 13-years-old. I love it! And I know you will too. There is something to do on the island for everyone. Rather it's fishing, swimming at the beach, shopping or playing golf. My top 5 places I'd like to visit this summer, where I would stay are and what I would do are. I would love to go to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge Tennessee this summer. I've always loved Dolly's music. You can catch me humming 9-5 to my daughter all day long. If I were to go I would stay at the Dollywood DreamMore Resort.  From what I've seen online to food is amazing here is a video  for you to check out. Ever since watching Girls Trip I have wanted to go to New Orleans. Being the true Girls Trip fan I would love to stay at the  Roosevelt ! There would be countless things to do in New Orleans. Can I just start out about how Boston has my heart? I was only there once but, it only takes one glance to fall in love. The obsession I have developed with Boston is quite questionable. I dream of going back every day since I've left. Is that strange? I stayed at the  Westin Copley Place . This hotel is stunning, it was just the right distance to every attraction. I recommend the Westin if you're planning a trip to Boston. If you're looking for a nice Italian meal near the hotel Lucca Back Bay is a must-try.                      My most recommended activities to do in Boston are whale watching, riding a trolley, sightseeing, and eating some amazing food. I went whale watching with  Boston Harbor Cruises , then I went on a trolley tour with the  Old Town Trolley Tours , I also went to Salem thru the Boston Harbor Cruises and would recommend them to anyone.  ...

I took another trip to New Hampshire for the weekend in September to see a close friend. I visited her in Laconia. A typical small town with a few hidden treasures. During my time there I made it my mission to find those treasures. Laconia's downtown is filled with plenty of shops most of them are antique stores where you can uncover treasures of the past. The first thing I found was a unique place to eat. Who in their right mind would not be interested in enjoying a nice drink and even more delicious desserts...... in a church. Yes you read that right in a church. There is a bar inside of a church. To be exact it is the Holy Grail of the lakes food and spirits . Located in downtown Laconia. I loved it there and I know that you will too! I came up with a list of ideas to do when  you're  feeling bored and alone. I follow this advice often, after I have a long day at work or when I just want some me time. Go on a hike or bike a trail           Nothing clears my mind than a nice hike through the woods next to the river. So soothing! To spice things up I recommend bringing a snack finding a fallen tree or a rock and enjoy the great outdoors. Amusement park           Granted you  won't  be alone at an amusement park but, it’s the thought that counts. The perks of going alone are getting to the front of the line. I find that single passengers get on the rides quicker than groups. I started my day at the Amtrak station in Harrisburg. It took about an hour and forty or forty five minutes to get to thirtieth street station (far left). There I took the subway to Old city block. (Far right) To obtain information about surrounding sights to see I went to the Independence Hall Visitor Center. There I got tickets for Betsy Ross house , and the national constitution center . Note: There is a limit on tickets to see independence hall . The first thing I did was travel to the farthest place outset the distance of the subway station. Betsy Ross House:  This is the house where Betsy Ross made the American flag. The entrance to start the tour is inside the gift shop. The beginning of the tour gives you a quick history of Betsy. As you enter the home, its a tight squeeze, you read about how she becomes known as the famous lady who sewed the first flag. The tour also included a reenactor portraying Betsy herself.
