A letter to my younger self

Dear Cindi,  Don't stop dreaming.  Make better choices for college's to attend. Do better in high school. Pay attention, stop worrying about drama and boys.  Don't fall in love too soon, save your heart from getting broken.  Don't forget to pay ALL your bills on time.  Speak up. Don't settle.  You got this.

Okay, everyone.  I know you all are obsessed with visiting or wanting to visit the Magnolia store in Texas.  However, can we shed some light on the Mercantile in Oklahoma! It's owned by the famous Ree Drummond.  I'm slightly obsessed with Ree Drummond. She’s everywhere. On tv, in the stores, covers of cookbooks and even in magazines. I love her cooking, I have some cookbooks, and I watch her shows often.  "The Pioneer Woman Mercantile is a destination restaurant, bakery and store in Pawhuska, Oklahoma! Ree and Ladd Drummond spent years renovating the hundred-year-old Osage Mercantile building on Main Street that they could welcome visitors from near and far and give them a slice of small-town hospitality. "The MErc" has gorgeous goods, comfort foods, fresh-made pastries, delicious coffee, and plenty of fun to dish out. Come stop in, stay awhile, and leave with a smile! Ree, Ladd, and the whole crew at The Merc would love to see you in Pawhuska."  That is t

Cindi Cunnius Professor D... English 101 30 June 2017 War is Hell On the eighteenth of June in nineteen sixty-five, in Vietnam, a photographer named Horst Faas, captured a simple but, clear and accurate black and white image, that later became a famous photo known to everyone worldwide. This photo was of a young soldier posing for Faas’s camera, during the Vietnam War. That young man was Larry Wayne Chaffin from Saint Louis, he was in the one hundred and seventy-third Airborne Brigade Battalion.  When anyone looks at this photograph they are than gravitated, at how Chaffin’s eyes are so bright. Then the viewer glances up and looks at Chaffin’s band on his helmet, that is where he wrote, the iconic and accurate description of the war, in three simple words “War is Hell.” In Faas’s famous photo, there are other things that also stand out in the photo after those three iconic words.  First, is that Chaffin is wearing his identification card, there is a gash on Chaffin’s helmet, indicating

Cindi Cunnius Dr. M….. PSC101 August 22, 2017 Should voting be mandatory?  Since 2012, I have been working on the election board in my town. Meaning I run the polls along with other members, setting up machines and assisting individuals who need help. This past presidential election I’ve witnessed the highest amount of people turn out to vote.  On the next day when I go about my normal day, I’ll see people who I know didn’t vote. So I’ll proceed to ask why they didn’t vote. A unanimous answer of those people are, is that no one pertained to their liking or were in their favor of opinions. A few people would say that they forgot or were too busy. At the nursing home, the elderly are given the absentee papers but, never turn them in. Simply because they do not know who the person who is running, or what that particular person wants to do for the community, state, or country.  Making voting mandatory won’t be fair for anyone. For the reason that everyone has a different point of view. If

My biggest dream

My first dream was to be a princess. A little abnormal yes I know. But I'm married, and occasionally I get treated like a princess.  I dreamed of being a successful actress but, I can't remember anything so sadly I would fail at reciting lines.  Then I dreamed of being successful in general.  Currently, my dream is to be happy. Now hear me out I'm happily married, and I have a beautiful family. What is happiness is it money, a career, friends, I'm not sure but I'm content with what I have now but I'm still looking for happiness.
