Gettysburg

Welcome to my first traveling post.

Today I'll be talking about a few things to do in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

A bucket of fries, who wouldn't love this! These are the best fries I have ever tried. I recommend getting an Appalachian Brewery rootbeer to go along with the fries, the drink has a hint of honey making it taste absolutely devine. The cafe is located on Steinwehr Avenue.

The sign of Hunt's Cafe.

A large container of fries.

The divine Root Beer with a hint of honey.

Sunset on little round top
Nothing is more romantic than overlooking the fields and into the mountains while watching the sun go down. Also, if you can't catch the sunset it's really nice to just enjoy the view.

Cyclorama painting
This magnificent painting is a stunningly beautiful work of art. It is a truly must see painting. The painting is located in the Gettysburg Visitor Center. The painting consists of a 360 degree view, painting of the battlefield.

Gettysburg Tour
Any tour is a must to do. You can go to the visitor center and request a personal tour guide or you can go into town and get a double decker tour. I really enjoyed the double decker tours during summer. Seeing the battlefield and town from a higher elevation is very nice to see.

This place is amazing.!The tavern atmosphere is so different than anything in Gettysburg. A restaurant in a basement; tasty food, great service, dinner by candlelight and servers dressed in costume. What is a more unique experience than that?

Eisenhower house and farm tour
President Eisenhower and his wife lived in Gettysburg after his presidency. To access the farm you have to ride a shuttle from the visitor center. I really enjoyed seeing their home it is a very beautiful place and compliments the Eisenhower's style.
